What is NSST? The Legacy of Dr. Madeleine DeLittle

Updated: Oct 22, 2024

Dr. DeLittle created Neuroscience and Satir in the Sandtray following, integrating and building on the work of giants in the field: Virginia Satir, Allen Schore, Karl Jung, and Daniel Siegel. "NSST uses figurines in a sand tray which resonate with the embodied implicit mind. The client is able to see themselves in the past present and future and subsequently move the figurines, change them and make new left brain conscious decisions about how they wish to be different. Specifically, the work is around transforming the default autonomic ways of keeping safe. My research has shown that [the change NSST creates] is profound and lasting for the client. It even suggests that as integration of the dissociated parts occur people are able to  be connected to something 'higher'." - Dr. Madeleine DeLittle

This 7.5 minute video is an interview with her in her home in Fort Langley.
